Spelling: Continue practicing spellings for test on Friday.

Maths: Vertical and horizontal addition.

Phonics: Write 4 'ch' words and draw a picture for each. Choose 2 of the 'ch' to put into a sentence.

**Thank you so much for bringing in wonderful artefacts from your past. If you did not get to show the class your artefacts today you will get the chance to show and tell some other day this week :)

Monday 12th September

Spellings: Please learn the 10 spellings for test on Friday (5 of the words are based on the 'ch' sound).
(Spellings are kept in the spelling folder)

Maths: Complete worksheet based on numbers 11 - 15.

Phonics: Write the 'sh' or 'ch' word.

**Team Teaching: For the next 6 weeks, the children will be working in small groups with a support teacher everyday. They will be working on literacy. The children will get a new reader everyday. Reading should be practiced at home.

Please make sure that there is a pencil, ruler and red pen in your child's folder (folder labelled Team Teaching). Folders need to be in school everyday.

Thursday 8th September

• Spellings: Continue practicing spellings for test tomorrow.

• Maths: Vertical addition within 15 and two word problems.

• Rainbow Words (spelling practice page) : Choose 8 words from this weeks spelling list. Write each one three times on each rainbow.

Wednesday 7th September

• Spellings: Continue practicing spellings for test on Friday

• Maths: Addition within 10. Ring the sets, use these sets to complete the number sentences.

• Phonics: Complete each word with the 'sh' sound, read it, write it and colour the pictures.

Tuesday 6th September

• Spellings: Continue practicing 10 spellings for test on Friday.

• Maths: Horizontal and vertical addition within 10 (3 addends).

• The History of My Name: Complete for tomorrow.

**First Class children will now be lining up outside the prefabs beside the bike shed (across from main school door) in the mornings and at home time :)

I hope everyone is settling into First Class in Room 5 :)
