Spelling: Practice spellings for test on Friday (a_e = magic 'e' sends it magic over the preceding consonant and changes the short vowel sound into a long vowel sound).

Spelling: Practise spellings for test on Friday.

Tables: 10+ Monday

Maths: Read the times given, draw the hands on each clock for 'o'clock' and 'half past'.

Phonics: Complete each word with a_e. Read each word and draw a picture. Choose 3 of the words to put into a sentence.

Tuesday 17th January

Spelling: Practise spellings for test on Friday.

Tables: Practise 10 + tables for test on Friday.
Tables Champion  - Week 10, Tuesday 10+ tables

Maths: Read the clock and write the time underneath

Grammar: Verbs - A verb is a doing/action word.
  • Look at each picture. What is the bee doing? Write the verb on the line under each picture.
  • Draw a picture for each verb given.
  • Think of 3 more words yourself. Draw a picture for each. 
Wednesday 18th January

Spelling: Practise spellings for test on Friday.


Tables: Practise 10 + tables for test on Friday.
Tables Champion  - Week 10, Wednesday 10+ tables

Maths: Read the clocks and write the times underneath. 

Comprehension: Read the story. Complete the questions/activities based on the story.

Thursday 19th January

Spelling: Practise spellings for test on Tomorrow.


Tables: Practise 10 + tables for test on Tomorrow.
Tables Champion  - Week 10,Thursday 10+ tables

Maths: 

  • Answer questions based on the months of the year
  • Examine the month of March on a calendar and answer questions based on it.

Spelling Sheet: Write your spelling words forwards and backwards.
